Business economics students of Saint Louis University (SLU) belonging to the Progressive Economists’ Solidarity Organization (PESO) conducted a statistical exhibit that featured the students’ own rendition of Ambisyon Natin 2040 and Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs), among others. The event that was held on October 21 at SLU Maryheights Bakakeng Campus, Baguio was in celebration of the 28th National Statistics Month (NSM).
The statistical exhibit was attended by about 100 students and graced by Dean Reynaldo Bautista of the PESO’s School of Accountancy and Business Administration (SABM) and Director Villafe P. Alibuyog of the Philippine Statistical Authority (PSA) CAR.
During the exhibit, the NEDA CAR showed videos of Ambisyon Natin 2040 and also distributed brochures/ flyers on the same topic.
In her speech, PSA CAR Director Alibuyog emphasized the importance of statistics in decision making and congratulated the PESO for being last year’s winner of the Best Statistical Activity conducted by a private organization. This is annually given by the PSA during the October NSM celebration. The award and cash were handed over to PESO Dean of SABM Dr. Reynaldo S. Bautista during the opening program of the statistical exhibit by PSA CAR.
