The NEDA Regional Office in Central Luzon or NRO III distributed Ambisyon Natin 2040 materials and displayed tarpaulins at the ‘Zambalinis’ event last September 16 in Zambales.
The ‘Zambalinis’ is an annual province-wide coastal clean-up in Zambales that started in 2015. The event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, a worldwide program of the Ocean Conservatory organization that aims to protect oceans from proliferation of garbage particularly plastic.
The event mobilized thousands of volunteers from within and outside the province of Zambales to collect plastics and other trash along its 180 km coastline.
Zambales holds the record of having the most number of volunteers in the annual coastal clean-up in the country.
