The NEDA Regional Office in Central Luzon (NRO III) joined the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in the ASEAN Campus Forum last August 25 and 30, to promote the AmBisyon Natin 2040 to more than 500 students of Tarlac Agricultural University and Bataan Peninsula State University.
Ms. Divine Vallejo and Ms. Kat De Leon of the Development Research Division of NRO III informed the students about AmBisyon Natin 2040 and emphasized its importance in development planning. They also encouraged the students to support the country’s long term vision. Meanwhile, IEC materials on the Philippine Development Plan and AmBisyon Natin 2040 including brochures, folding fans, posters and pens were distributed to the participants.
Resource speakers from the PIA, Department of Trade and Industry, and Department of Social Welfare and Development discussed the three pillars of ASEAN Community.
The series of campus forums are among the initiatives of the PIA to increase awareness of the chairmanship of the Philippines in the ASEAN this year.
