The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) presented AmBisyon Natin 2040 or the country’s long-term vision to foreign journalists from Jefferson Fellows on May 26 at the Executive Lounge, NEDA Pasig.
Undersecretary Rosemarie G. Edillon welcomed the Jefferson Fellows and presented to them the AmBisyon Natin 2040. She discussed the formulation process of AmBisyon and how the medium-term plans will be anchored on the vision.
They were also briefed on the history, mandate, and structure of NEDA by Maureen B. Oreiro of the Development Information Staff.
The Jefferson Fellowships let print and broadcast journalists from the United States, Asia, and the Pacific Islands gain on-the-ground perspectives of relevant international stories.
NEDA was part of their two-week reporting tour in the Asia Pacific Region.
