The NEDA reaffirmed its commitment in the implementation of the Magna Carta of Women during the Women’s Summit dubbed as the CHANGE Summit or Compassionate and Harmonized Actions and Networks for Gender Equality held last March 30.
At the event, Director Brenda Joyse R. Mendoza of the Trade, Industry and Services Staff presented the gender considerations included in the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022.
Moreover, NEDA also committed to continue working towards the achievement of gender and equality and women’s empowerment, as it continues to pursue the realization of Ambisyon Natin 2040. This is by ensuring gender responsiveness of programs and projects especially those funded by official development assistance (ODA) through the use of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines or HGDG for project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
