Undersecretary Rosemarie G. Edillon graced the regional launch of AmBisyon Natin 2040 in Central Visayas. The event was held at Montebello Villa Hotel, Cebu City last November 21.
The Undersecretary presented Ambisyon Natin 2040 or the country’s long-term vision to an audience composed of more than 200 representatives from national and regional line agencies, local government units, business sector, nongovernment organizations, and the academe.
Other invited speakers were Rodrigo “Digoy” Rubio, taxi driver; Mr. Elnard Ympal, youth farmer scientist; and Engr. William Liu, Jr., contractor. The speakers shared their aspirations for themselves, their family and community at the event. They also talked about their inspiring life experiences and insights on how Ambisyon Natin 2040 vision can be attained.
Meanwhile, Assistant Regional Director Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr. of NRO VII presented a Cebuano version of the Ambisyon Natin 2040.
Regional Director Efren B. Carreon of the NRO IV-B, on the other hand, said that AmBisyon Natin 2040 will be presented in the provinces during provincial consultations on the draft Regional Development Plan 2017-2022.
Ambisyon Natin 2040 photo booth was put up at the event where participants were able to have their photos taken. Ambisyon Natin shirts were also given away during the launch.
The regional launch was held alongside with the regional consultations on the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022.
