The National Economic and Development Authority, in partnership with the World Bank’s Knowledge for Development Community and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness conducted the Manila-leg of a public forum on Ambisyon Natin 2040 last November 11 in Makati City.
The forum aimed to communicate the long-term vision to as many stakeholders as possible, especially the youth. It also served as a venue to consult the participants on how they can help further enrich the discourse on the vision, and identify various ways to contribute in achieving the goals.
NEDA Assistant Secretary Carlos Bernardo O. Abad Santos presented Ambisyon Natin 2040 to participants from the government, private institutions, youth, civil society organizations, and the academe.
Meanwhile, Fernando Roxas of AIM, Lucila Malibiran of CO Multiversity, Francisco Ed. Lim of the Management Association of the Philippines’ Competitiveness Committee, Junie Del Mundo of EON The Stakeholder Relations Group, and Julliano Fernando Guiang of the National Alliance of Youth Leaders served as panel discussants.
In the afternoon, participants were divided into four workshop groups where they shared their collective aspirations for the country and identified strategies to achieve AmBisyon Natin 2040.
