The NEDA held a public forum on AmBisyon Natin 2040 last October 11 at the Central Philippine University (CPU) in Iloilo City, as part of the ongoing series of regional forums with Knowledge Development Center partners across the country.
In the forum, NEDA Regional Office (NRO) VI OIC- Assistant Regional Director Gilberto Artura presented the survey results and the policy implications of NEDA’s latest study called AmBisyon Natin 2040. The study, which details the collective long term vision of Filipinos, was conducted late 2015 until early 2016.
Meanwhile, Marie Jeanette Cordero, OIC-Chief of the Public Relations Division, NEDA Central Office, presented the communication and advocacy plan and activities as well as next steps for the AmBisyon Natin 2040.
Executive Director of the Iloilo Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Filoteo Palmares III, Director of Philippine Agri-herbal Tourism Dr. Joel O. Palma, and CPU Secretary Lyana C. Tomulto joined as panel reactors.
A briefing was then held for the local press, and a workshop was conducted among select members of the academe, civil society, and local government to discuss each sector’s priorities and strategies, to realize their respective long-term goals.
