The National Economic and Development Authority will be conducting the Aksyon Para sa Ambisyon: Philippine Development Plan Expo on June 2 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
The event, to be led by Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ernesto M. Pernia also serves as the public launch of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022. It will be attended by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and around 500 participants from various sectors including government agencies, academe, youth, development partners, and civil society organizations.
Aside from the plenary program, there will be breakout sessions and booths showcasing planned and on-going programs, activities, and projects of the government.
It will also feature talks on the PDP 2017-2022’s three main pillars of Malasakit or enhancing the social fabric, Pagbabago or reducing inequality, and Patuloy na Pag-unlad or increasing growth potential from Senator Loren Legarda and Guillermo “Bill” Luz of the National Competitiveness Council.
The PDP 2017-2022 was approved by the NEDA Board, chaired by President Duterte, last February 20 and is the first medium-term plan to implement the AmBisyon Natin 2040, which represents the Filipino people’s collective long-term aspirations. It aims to lay a strong foundation for inclusive growth, a high-trust society, and a globally-competitive economy toward a “Matatag, Maginhawa, at Panatag na Buhay para sa Lahat.”
Registration for the PDP expo is free for the public via 2040.neda.gov.ph.
