The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the Philippine Federation of State Universities and Colleges Student Leaders (PFSUCSL) signed an agreement to further enrich the ongoing dialogue on AmBisyon Natin 2040 and the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 among student leaders last February 22 at the NEDA Central Office, Pasig City.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by Undersecretary Jose Miguel Dela Rosa for NEDA and OIC-President Ronald Gil Joy Bilang of the PFSUCSL. This is the first of many institutional partnerships that NEDA will embark on to further expand the stakeholder ownership of AmBisyon Natin 2040.
The PFSUCSL is a newly-established organization composed of student regents and trustees from the different state universities and colleges (SUCs) across the country. Together with the Rizal Technological University and International Youth Federation (IYF), they will be holding the 1st National Student Regents’ Summit on March 24-26, in partnership with the NEDA and Commission on Higher Education. The summit is also supported by the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC).
With the theme SUC Student Regents and Trustees : Defining their Role in Shaping the Nation in the Next 25 Years, the summit will bring together more than 120 student regents and trustees from the different SUCs across the country. It will serve as an opportunity to communicate and engage not only the student leaders but also the entire studentry in realizing AmBisyon Natin 2040.
