Undersecretary Rosemarie G. Edillon presented the Philippines’ long-term vision and medium-term plan at the Global Conference of Heads of Posts on January 30 in Makati City.
Edillon discussed how the current medium-term plan adopted both the country’s long term vision and the President’s 0+10 point socioeconomic agenda through its overall strategic framework, which stands on three pillars: malasakit, pagbabago, at patuloy na pag-unlad.
On the other hand, the heads of posts brought up their concerns on policies and programs concerning overseas Filipinos, economic and foreign policy, and the upcoming ASEAN chairmanship.
Heads of posts refer to foreign service officers from embassies and consulates of Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, North and South America, among others.
The conference, that started last January 30 until today, aim to orient heads of posts on the current administration’s foreign policy priorities and development objectives.
